I've never felt a semester go by so fast. Officially this weeks class is the final class of making media. Due to a pretty handy twist of fate which saw Christmas and New Years both falling on a Tuesday the next two weeks classes will be public holidays. And as a result the next two weeks will be the perfect opportunity to.................perfect this assignment.
Trust me the assignment will get done, but why not make the most of the festivities at the same time? At our current stage we are a little behind where I would like our team to be. We have completed an interview and thoroughly researched and drafted the feature article but still have not undertaken our photo shoot which is arguably the most important part of the magazine. This has mostly just been a case of not enough time but by this weekend we will have some images. And if not I will steal Christmas.
The lack of visuals to mess around with has given us the opportunity to further refine the art direction of our magazine. And we have settled on the colour and theme of our magazine.

Simon suggested we should make the magazine more specific to Vietnam hence the colour scheme based upon the national flag. This theme of keeping the subject localised to Vietnam's attitudes and aesthetics seems to be an important part of the magazine and part which I keep forgetting. Apologies to the group for globalising this project.
So hear's a little concept I whipped up on Photoshop to represent the stereotypical meeting of the two cultures of Australia and Vietnam. Inspired by Simon's idea.

Let's see where this takes us.
Merry Christmas all
